Advice wanted on getting into Internet broadcasting

I'd like to broadcast shows playing music on an Internet radio station, but I hardly know a thing about how to yet, so I'm hoping for advice. I've heard it would be good to get the Station Playlist software. Would that be the best thing to get? I found a tutorial for it with JAWS scripts by Brian Hartgen. It's an expensive tutorial, so has anyone used it and is it good and worth the money?

What other equipment would I need? I'd only want to broadcast music that's on my computer, rather than having to use a CD or record player.

I'd like opinions on what the best microphone to get would be? Also, would I need another sound card in my computer so JAWS wasn't broadcast over the mike? If so, what kind would be best, and how could it be set up so it only broadcast either JAWS or my radio show but not both?

Thank you.

Never used it, but Jonathan Mosen uses it for his shows, take that as you
may.

I don't use that program as a broadcaster, as I've been using winamp and the sam encoders and the two card method, meaning having a second soundcard or even a wireless headset to have your screen reader on only. If you'd like some pointers I can give you a hand off-site, so do send a private quicknote or message.

I decided to get Station Playlist and am working through a tutorial for it now, so I don't think I need advice any more now thanks.
